Beyond Vision: Powering an Immersive Spatial Audio Engine Showcase

We recently had the fantastic opportunity to see our Red Forge engine in action once again, powering Beyond Vision: Black Country Women - An Interactive Sound Journey at the Dorothy Parkes Centre, Smethwick. Following on from our previous showcases, it was wonderful to see another brilliant turnout.

Experiencing Our Spatial Audio Engine in Warley Woods

Sometimes, the most powerful stories are the ones you experience alone. What does it feel like to sit in the quiet of Warley Woods and hear a story of joy?

This beautiful, immersive spatial sound experience was entirely created by Sarah-Ann Cromwell, with audio design by Freya Shaw. They utilized a Meta Quest headset to allow participants to physically walk through sound and listen to stories of joy from the women at Sandwell Visually Impaired.

While we built the underlying spatial audio engine, these voices, experiences, and Sarah-Ann's vision are the true heart of the project.

An Overwhelming Public Response

We were absolutely delighted to support this event and overwhelmed by the positive public response to how the technology handled the spatial audio. Seeing people connect so deeply with the environment and the narratives is exactly why we build what we do.

It was a massive team effort to bring this together. A huge thank you to everyone involved, and our biggest congratulations to Sarah-Ann for her sterling work in pulling this incredible showcase together!
