Red Nought has created The Infinity Engine that reduces the overheads necessary to develop complex games by up to 90%. Over the next 3 years we want to enable at least 500 new start-up studios to create their first commercial game.
Current gamers expect extraordinary quality and scale from the games they buy. However, large publishers can't deliver profitably and smaller developers can't deliver the quality and scale. This has lead to massive lay-offs in the industry and companies of all sizes struggle.
Our engine is a development platform created for our first game "The Time Plague" which is due to be launched shortly. This engine massively reduces the overheads necessary to develop complex games simultaneously for platforms as diverse as mobile, through Steamdeck and PC all the way to high-end VR.
The platform provides a series of massively optimized tools that automate the generation of a lot of the core systems required for a game, whilst allowing creatives to focus their efforts on the high value elements that will make their games unique. These tools include procedural generation for landscapes, boardable vehicles, super-advanced AI non-player characters and procedural story generation.
